One offer is in for 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive guard Thomas Pizzurro. The Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy prospect landed the offer from a MAC school and is getting interest from a number of other schools.

Pizzurro claims an offer from Kent State so far.
"Kent State offered me," he said. "They already sent my stuff in writing. Syracuse likes me a lot. They are supposedly going to offer.

"A lot of other schools are interested. Virginia Tech called, Tennessee has shown interest and lots of others."

Are any visits coming up for Pizzurro?

"I know Kent State offered a few players at our school," he said. "We're trying to set up an official with them, I'm not sure of the exact date though."

The lineman maintains no favorites.

"I'm just keeping an open mind. I want to see what other offers I get and then make a decision at the end of the season."

Pizzurro is a starting guard for Hargrave this season and has helped them to a 4-1 start.

"I'm doing well," he said. "I'm starting at right guard and I've played pretty well. I'm getting better each and every game. I think I've gotten more muscular and my technique is better. I'm quicker on my feet too."
